1) The problem is that the Obama Administration says 'assault weapons', but upon research, it would actually get rid of EVERYTHING but revolvers and Coach Guns(the dual-barreled shotguns). That means anything with a magazine-gone.

2) It won't stop criminals like they say it will. If people are forced to give up their guns, the only ones who will still have them are the CRIMINALS, who will hide them. If you take a half an hour to look around on the internet, Australia and parts of Europe banned some types of guns. The result?

No. Because that would imply that we ban a political lexicon or a misnomer when describing the difference between rifles. Cosmetic additions that make a rifle appear to be in the style of a military 'assault rifle' while NOT modifying it's capabilities to fire in anyway other than it's intended firing rate (semi-auto; one round fired when the trigger is pulled) is NOT a legitimate excuse to ban said rifle.

How about we focus on the mental health and criminal aspects of those who actually use firearms in an illegal or harmful method? How about not treating law abiding citizens like criminals or idiots while allowing those who break the law to treated like victims?

It's society that needs to be looked at and improved. Simple as that.

Please look up the definition of 'infringe' or 'infringed' in the dictionary. It is completely unconstitutional and illegal (as deemed by court decisions) to confiscate any and all firearms of law abiding citizens or residents. This includes in states of emergency.

There's no reason to ban assault weapons. Hammers killed more people than rifles in general, let alone assault weapons.

There's a huge difference between a .38 and an "assault weapon", and even if you ban all teh things right now, there will still be millions of them around and available.
