I'm a Semite and, if I ever get married (unlikely as that is), odds are it won't be with another Semite, let alone a practicing Jew (and my family is Catholic/I'm atheist and only around 1/4 ethnically "Jewish").

I don't see anything wrong with this...? Though I've heard that there are legitimate scientific/medical cases to be made against race-mixing/miscegenation (and I've heard this from reputable sources, which is a bit disturbing, to be honest)... things like diminished genetic homogeneity leading to blood type complications, etc. I'm not sure how much I buy that (well, not a lot, without any further research), and I certainly don't think it's a pressing issue (and the ship has long sailed on that question: Northern Europeans are pretty much indistinguishable from each other throughout North America, for example). Any legislative alternative is probably a lot worse from a utilitarian perspective.
