Horses were nothing more then junior partners in a mutually beneficial relationship with humanity, we use them as beast of burden and mounts and we raise them in safety as well as feeding them.
Now however with the mass availability of manufactured transportation as well as advanced farming equipment we no longer need them, so the horse is SOL.

True however horses too me are one of natures finest animals, and I believe aren't made for eating; but if an worst case scenario came along then making a exception would be necessary.

It's easier to dye chalcedony to make onyx than it is to lighten onyx to make chalcedony. Same holds true for meat, it is far harder to make beef lighter in color than it is to make pork look red.

I don't think it'd be as hard with ground meats. I just don't know how people don't notice things like that the marbling and taste is completely different.

I believe that all the ingredients in a product should be listed on the package, or if it's a situation like a deli, the person working there should tell you if your beef contains another kind of meat product. I dunno that's just me.

Well in this case, the problem is that people were told they were buying beef when in fact they were eating horse. False advertising is the problem.
