I can't imagine going shirtless, society would just give me weird looks...

Fascinating. Have women ever protested topless in your church because of the child molestation?
Now my post was slightly off tangent I'll admit but thread actually isn't just about women going around topless my dear pumpkin, since the protestors were showing their disdain for the Catholic Church. There's arguably a broader theme of victims of discrimination by religious institutions standing up and expressing their contempt for said religious institution at work here.
As to your question, Churches aren't allowed where I'm from. There was however a case where a group of local feminists sent some women's underwear in the mail to a rather well known misogynistic sheikh, ironically enough, wishing him a happy Valentine's day.

With all due respect, I would look, appreciate and probably just get on with whatever I was doing. Boobs aren't always sexual.
They are always going to be the buttof jokse by the less mature male crowd, myself included.

I know that, it's just that the message seems to have been lost because BOOB. And people are quick to condemn them because BOOB.

I'm not condemning them. If all female protestors here would protest topless, oh man, what a sight that would be. And I see nothing wrong with women going topless. I mean, I don't know any guys who would disapprove of that.

Actually I think I speak for all men when I say women deserve the right to be topless in public, and in the home. And basically everywhere.
In fact shirts and bras are oppressive and we should ban them immediately.

Tip for everyone:
Make a bet with your female friends that they can't touch their stomach with their elbows.
Thank me later.

Yeah, that's both the selling point of and the problem with FEMEN. On the one hand, they do successfully get a lot of attention. On the other hand, very little of that attention is actually paid to any particular cause they might support.
(I'm also troubled by the fact that I have yet to see even one FEMEN activist who's not white, skinny, young, and fairly conventionally attractive. I'd have a lot more faith that the toplessness was for a serious political point if women of a variety of ages, races, and body types were whipping their tits out alongside the skinny white girls.)

this is why I said earlier that I thought they could have gotten their message across better by not being so out there in their tactics. yes they got world wide attention but what will the world remember? the message? or their boobs?

So did you have any comments on the FEMEN protest or did you just come here to get your creep on?
