Violence is not needed in any way shape or form in a protest. Going to a military base is only going to cause just that. If I protested at a military base all that would happen is me and my protestors would be shot on sight. There deaths would be on my hands. At Fort Hood, they have an annual protest by one of the local "Christian" churches, because a Wiccan group actually bothers to go through all the hoops necessary to use some of Ft. Hood ground for their celebrations. The group meets all requirement, and Wicca is a recognized religion by the U.S. Army.
