Brown Brown isn't exactly popular anywhere else given it's tendency to cause death.

And only in West Africa did it ever acheive somewhat usage, and even then only to expendable child soldiers and even then that is unconfirmed, it's an assumption.

I believe the family's using the "no warning label" excuse as a way to sue Coke. It's the same thing with the Monster energy drinks lawsuit. It's common sense that you can seriously hurt yourself drinking too much of the stuff. If you want to be stupid and do just that, then don't blame the company.

So they should make their drink so that even when you drink an ocean of it, you will merely get a bout of gas? Because that is something nature cannot even do. I suppose we should say nature is at fault for people who die from drinking too much water, correct?

Drinking 2.5 gallons a day of anything can be detrimental on one's health, albeit, in different ways. Heck, if you drink too much water, you can literally drown :(

I have a proposal, but how about the World adopts Michael Bloomberg's regulations on all the things that are considered outright banned or restricted to a specific amount? That way people won't be able to do this to themselves! After all, it's up to the government to make sure that people are living in a safe, danger free environment. What horrors would we encounter as the mindless denizen if we were allowed to eat or drink what we wanted?!

We should regulate ourselves with only being able to buy only 16 fl oz cups of sugary and substitute sugary drinks (splenda, sweeteners, etc)... Oh and only up to a two pack of 8 fl oz cans of said drinks per week, to be fair to everyone. This way, no one will be able to do this to themselves.

Or... we just take heed and learn from this woman's mistakes and know that drinking 2.5 gal of the stuff per day is really harmful. Actually, most sane individuals would have known that beforehand. I feel sorry for her family though, especially her kids. :(

Don't blame the fucking corporations if you're too thick to realise that quantity is a danger of itself.

Coca-Cola knowingly pushed an addictive product, marketed it as a harmless lifestyle accessory, and lobbied to display the least amount of consumer information possible on the label. For other addictive drugs, the same actions (lobbying might or might not be in the fiscal picture) is considered sufficient to justify violent raids in neighborhoods and at ports and bars. How are they not even slightly culpable for what happens when people get addicted? What drugs does this blanket amnesty apply to, exactly?

I have no doubt that if there is a thread about someone who turned on their blender and stuck their hand in it then people on NS will blame the company that manufactured it. Scratch that, they will be arguing over who to blame, the power company that provides power to the blender, the company that makes the blades for the blender, or the company that actually assembles the blender.
