The kidneys can only process half of that acid load per day, prolly about 15-20 cans. And the acid can wear down the tooth enamel, "rotting" her teeth. Although curiously:

Aren't babies usually born without teeth? So her children should be born without enamel, or teeth for that matter. (Natal teeth are a different matter altogether.) I'd like to hear the explanation of the coroner about that. Or perhaps a more mundane explanation, could the children also picked up the habit from their mother?
