We all wanted Kofi Kingston to win.

Oh please. CM Punk was jobbed out to Bob Holly when losing to Bob Holly meant you would never ever be pushed again. Where is he now? The Piper to Cena's Hogan? Exactly.

The thing is, CM Punk was an indie sensation, a lightning rod, before he ever got to OVW let alone WWE, and he still is the IWC hero so like it or not Vince was going to keep him around for credibility as long as he could. Punk had to go the rest of the way by kicking doors down, repeatedly...in people's faces.

o on the other hand... the IWC again likes the guy but unfortunately he's not as big as CM Punk was. He's a helluva worker to say the least, but I'm sorry, putting him in a program with the Miz and Nature Boy isn't doing him any favors. Once again, the casual fans glom right onto Ric and forget that Cesaro is not only making Miz look good, but given that Miz isn't the safest worker around he's risking his career to a degree as well.

Okay I'm going stop you there. No. He didn't do as much as a singles wrestler but he had been all over the indies and even had more success than Punk as a tag team wrestler. When WWE first attempted to hire him, he was a tag team champion in three promotions at the same time. He also has been long noted as the indy guy most likely to succeed in WWE even over Punk. And he's also proven, both in the indies and in WWE, that he is more than capable as a singles wrestler.

In the end, Cesaro has the potential to be even more of a success than Punk.

I dunno, on the one hand I can't fault Miz for having the heart and determination to make it in the WWE. Unlike other wrestlers who have received pushes undeservedly or way too early (especially in some part-time cases), he does try so very hard, even if he does rub some people the wrong hand.
Buuuut... he's still a reality TV star to me. I'll admit a bit of personal bias there. The big thing however is that Miz is earning a reputation as an unsafe worker, both to himself and to other wrestlers. Dumping CM Punk on his head during a house show is not a good thing, not by a long stretch.
