I don't know about being Jews. It's still something I'm researching. My current position is no I do not think we're Jews.

It's an abbreviation of His Imperial Majesty, a reference to Haile Selassie I.

Hmm, I thought they disliked homosexuals.

Sounds like fun.

Some do, but that's not part of Rastafari. A true Rasta has love for all humanity.
We're against homosexuality but we're not supposed to judge, because only The Most High can judge. We are only supposed to love.

Or in other words, "One Love". :p

I love it how people can claim that the sciences are bullshit when scholars put so much time, sweat, and blood into figuring them out.

Well, there is worth in all teachings of religions out there, but they equally have outdated rules as well.

I didn't mean that there teachings are bad, I just hate the idea of organized religion. I'd rather not have to be told what to believe.

I wasn't always my religion. Up until I was about 10, I was atheist. I honestly didn't believe in God. But, something happened, and I began to believe. Within about 2 years, I considered myself as Christian, and in July of that year, I was baptised in the name of God. I am my religion not because it makes sense, but because it is illogical and a contradiction to many things and, in some cases, to itself.

Being on NSG made me think more about my religion and to do further reading on it, I can say because of that I became much more devoted to my religion and gained a greater sense of faith whereas before I was wavering.
You know you've made it on NSG when you have a whole thread created around what you said.
