I'm not sure how appropriate it is to say someone would certainly like a specific philosophy, particularly when the the individual in question has only posted eight times on the forum.

Besides, I could otherwise be considered an Atheist, which has already been given a bad name by Atheists that will resort to arguing to make people believe as they do.

I was raised a Hindu.I really don't care for religion and I believe in god in an "as-needed" basis.

That would depend on them being scholarly; I think he was implying that a large number of non-scholarly religious individuals self-aggrandize in their desire to claim "I don't sin and therefore are a better person than you, you dirty sinner".

Sin does not define greatness... everyone is judged according to their level.

Yeah I call upon the magical shape shifting powers of Krishna whenever I'm stoned.I would call upon Jesus but I don't see any use for his power of super carpentry.
Other than that I really don't spare much thought to the gods.My brain has more important things to do.Like avoid having a bad trip.

Call me an anal grammar nazi but since when could an individual be a religion? A person can be a follower of a certain religious belief or a member of a cult but they cannot be a religion.
A better way of wording the question would have been, Why do you follow your religion?
Anyway, I'm not religious per say but a believer of deism. I'd say the reason I'm a deist is because of the strength of William Lane Craig's cosomological argument. I used to an atheist when I was much younger but having studying philosophy of religion further I feel compelled to believe in a first cause, which could possibly be God though not necessarily the one of classical theism.

I am a self-contained religion. Read the thread before you call someone out.

Religion is a product of human mind. Ultimately, the most airtight scriptures can be interpreted in widely different ways.
