Taxes aren't theft, it's people in the government who abuses the tax system that are committing acts of thefts. However in the US, it's corporations and the wealthy elites that are committing theft by hoarding the money from the middle-class into their coffers which they sit on.

If I were little boy playing with a ball one the playground, and someone took said ball against my will or conned me out of it, then such an act would be considered theft.

Now, if a person was say, jealous of me and my blue ball he could form a council or gang of children and then have me conform to certain playground code of etiquette. I might enjoy living under such a council for awhile without fear of bullying, but there might be a day when that group comes and take my ball away. If this is against my will or they do not have my permission to do so, all the while not providing the service we agreed upon, then it is still theft.

TAXES ARE THEFT PERPETUATED BY A LARGE ORGANIZED GROUP

In retrospect some may argue that well "THE US HAS THE POWER TO TAX". Yes, this is true, but it has limitations.

Among these are:
Direct taxes must be apportioned amongst states.
Article I, Section 2, Clause 3

Indirect taxes must be uniform.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 1

The obamacare tax(ruled a penalty) and income taxes overstep this crucial boundary in the law as they're both direct taxes that are not apportioned.

Basically, taxes are theft; a fact that has become increasingly apparent with the expansion of the welfare state in which taxes are used to unilaterally benefit one party at the expense of another.

You are currently willingly living under the protection of a certain sovereign state. This sovereign state does exactly what (according to Thomas Hobbes) it was created to do. First and foremost, it tries its best to keep you alive and safe from a violent death.

Unless you are willing to go live to Somalia, you are implicitly consenting to abide by the social contract that keeps you under the protection of the state. That social contract, logically, requires you to give something to the state in return for the plethora of fundamental services it provides.

If you don't want to pay taxes, then don't. But if you don't pay taxes, then don't become a leech, living from the money that everyone else willingly gives to contribute to their own quality of life and that of the future generations. Don't use roads or trains, don't go to public hospitals or schools, don't call the police or the firefighters when you are in trouble, and don't expect the military to save you from invasion.

What are you on about? It amounts to payment for services rendered. The state is protecting your property, providing education, providing healthcare, building and maintaining infrastructure, providing defence and policing services, etc. Those things don't come cheap, so the beneficiaries of those services (i.e. you) are charged through taxes.
