You don't have to establish that something definately exists to establish the possibility of something existing.

No. It's a possibility, not an opinion.

If you were excommunicated from the LDS Church because of your bisexuality, then here's what I can tell you. I personally believe that having relations with a member of the same sex to be a sin, based on my interpretation of Scripture. But you see, there's that word again, interpretation. At the end of the day, I wont love you as a sister in Christ any less than I would now. I may not agree with your lifestyle, and I could point to the Scripture references where I base that conclusion, but only you can fully choose how to live your life, and your salvation is between you and God. I can only pray that in all things, God would place conviction on your heart to live your life according to His will.

I think this is the objective, but I'm still not sure what that point is.

"If you ever want to talk about stuff" implies if she wants to talk about STUFF, anything in particular. I have to ask you, do you meticulously pick out ideas from my posts just to be arguing, because I cannot in good faith understand the necessity of it in this circumstance. Precisely. You would feel compelled to point out Scripture that tells her that everything she knows about herself is wrong, and only through the bigoted salvation of your God will she be saved. I'm pretty sure this would then begin anew the cycle that got her allegedly kicked out of those other religions that have the same opinion about it. I'm not seeing the upside for her.New Azura wrote:I pray that God would reveal to her how He, not I or the world or Jim Bob Jones the Televangelist would have her live. If God didn't want her to live that way, then why would he make her the way she is? It's like you're praying to God to convince her that she should hate herself for what she is, and seek repentance for something she has no control over. Very loving of you.New Azura wrote:I could have said something mean in response to this, or antagonistic rather, but I don't want to start a flame war because it's wrong, and because I understand that I'm the goat of the forums because of my beliefs. That's my point: you don't perceive how it can be mean or hurtful. That doesn't mean that what you've suggested here doesn't achieve that purpose anyway.

No one is a worse sinner from the other. God loves ALL His Children, and we are all sinners of equal compare, because sin is sin no matter what incarnation it takes. Race or Gender has absolutely nothing to do with it at all, nor does a disability (I'm considered disabled by the State of North Carolina myself). So God has nothing to do in that. No Christian should condemn, nor do we have the power to do so. Everything must be done in love, and it's man, not God that can inject attitude, bigotry, and hatred into it. If this happened, then I just pray that you hold MAN accountable as your message suggests, and not God.

I've killed (well, in self defense, but let's just list this for completeness).
Committed adultery (fornication).
Stolen, been disrespectful to my parents, taken the Lord's name in vein and have been less than diligent in my seeking fellowship of other Christians.
The thing is, I am genuinely sorry for what I've done, and I endeavor not to repeat my mistakes.
I don't have sex with anyone but my wife. I try to be respectful to my father and mother (though I don't always succeed) and I've begun going back to church. I've still got a dirty mouth, but I'm getting a bit better. I'm not a model Christian by any means... but God still loves me.
If you are genuinely sorry for what you do that is sinful making efforts to end your sinful practices, then you are doing what it takes. God even tells you that you'll never be perfect- just forgiven.
If you don't try to correct the defects with real regret and sorrow in your heart, then you're not getting anywhere. Of all you mentioned, only 'bisexual' sets off alarms in my head. A Christian can't accept being 'bisexual'; homosexuality is inherently sinful.
