Unless the government was seriously fucked up, I'd become Lincoln Mark 2.

Those several forms of communism are known as "State capitalism" and "Stalinism", and have nothing relating to communism as Marx told. Problems with definitions - too bad. The version of communism I adhere to is the way Marx wrote.

As such, no, communism has nothing in common with fascism.

I'd flee the border back into the US out of Texas so as to be out of the way when the US Armed Forces decimates Texan militias and infrastructure.

Why Australia?

Do you know how hard it'd be to get there?

Well my land-connected areas are limited to either Canada or Mexico, so... I dunno. Maybe steal a boat and hop on down to the Caribbean?

Go to Canada(I am assuming you'r ein Wisconsin) and then find a boat there if you're afraid the violence will spill over the borders.

Depends. There are a few types of revolutions I can see happening in the United States and more specifically, in California:

Within the greater United States
-Libertarian revolution (Grab my gun and join it)
-Socialist revolution (Do nothing, most likely. Maybe fight it a bit, but not really)
-Fascist Revolution (Like the Socialist revolution, I might fight against it a bit, but not do a lot)

Within California
-California independence (Do nothing, but most likely leave the state)
-Aztlan Revolution (which would either make the Southwestern US part of Mexico again, or make it its own nation) (Resist to the bone! It does not matter whether you are left-wing or right-wing. We can all agree that a successful Aztlan movement is dangerous).

Facepalm mightily. An armed revolution of any kind has absolutely no chance of success in the country I live in (the paranoid fantasies of a worryingly large chunk of the population notwithstanding).

A fascist revolution is dangerous, but it really has no realistic chance of succeeding (hence why I would do nothing). How many actual fascists do you know? And of those, how many want to overthrow the government?

An Aztlan movement is dangerous, because it actually has a chance of succeeding.

It has no chance of succeeding, considering most residents of the Southwest have no real longing to return to Mexico, and even if they did, would get completely steamrolled by the current military.
