Well when over 50% of the states file a lawsuit against the federal government in response to Obamacare, it is hard to say the 10th Amendment hasn't been violated.

Are you under the impression that anyone who files a lawsuit is correct in doing so?

Are you not aware that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled on that lawsuit? They upheld the most controversial part of (and the majority of) the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, but did find part of it unconstitutional.

Does the fact that states recently sued the federal government in federal court, got fair hearings, won at various stages of the litigation, and ultimately won (in part) not provide evidence (100% contrary to your assertions) that we are not under threat of tyranny?

Guns guns guns, whether we take them all away or leave them in the hands of citizens, problems will continue. What this nation's problem is has nothing to do with guns, it has to do with God. All this violence, along with the crazy record breaking weather and disasters we've been facing, are a result of us turning our backs on God. No matter what our government tries to do, if this country leaves God out of the equation, everything's going to keep going downhill.

Sweden is predominantly irreligious... But has high levels of gun ownership.

Japan is really only moderately irreligious about the same as most of Europe but has very low gun ownership.

That is to say, I'm not seeing the connection between the two. More irreligious than the US, doesn't really mean anything, it's like being more irreligious than the Pope. Likewise, owning less guns than the US, like owning less Papal robes.

I would suggest it's more likely both nations high levels of education, social security nets and cultural values (which in Sweden's case are predominantly Christian).
