In order for you to consider God a perfectly moral being, you have to, as He does, support genocide and mass murder of men, women and children.

Not that I believe in the strict Christian conception of hell.

So much is implied in this line of thinking it just makes me laugh, I mean if I cane see the obviously holes in it makes you think it's some how fullproof against all Wisdom.

I've been burned before. Wouldn't make me change my tune. Plenty of people have refused to break under torture. Not that I believe in the strict Christian conception of hell.

Anyone who doesn't believe that might makes right.

I think I have heard that before, and it is an inherently flawed justification. We have free will because god gave it to us. If free will leads to evil, then is it not the act of creating free will an evil act?The Joseon Dynasty wrote:From my vague Sunday School recollections, evil is just meant to be the absence of God. Since we have free will, we can choose to exist in the absence of God, but this cultivates evil. Furthermore, "God's love" would have no significance for people without the comparatively less pleasant alternative.
That's what I remember when this question was brought up. Then again, I was seven years old, so I may have botched it.

Now now...no reason to feel bad about that.
But watch your tongue on this thread. Don't forget I have friends in the Opus Dei who would love to have a godless sodomite such as yourself join their ranks.
