We probably cannot. However, punishing the perpetrators for their crimes and educating people about mental health issues could reduce the rate at which such crimes occur. Do you have any proposals? Some mental illnesses make patients more peaceful than sane people; some illnesses, (psychopathy, sociopathy, telepathy etc) make patients more violent than sane people.

Some people are bullies. Until I see accurate research, I will assume, for conwenience, that the percentage of bullies v non-bullies is the same among both sane and insane people.

Then Evolution happens. Bullies who attack sociopaths and telepaths are all dead. The only living bullies are those who attack mad-men whose diseases make them more peaceful than sane people tlc.

I am tired of hearing about the mentally ill and violence. So now it;s your turn. Mentally ill people are being ,ade victims every day by non-mentally ill people. I suggest that Hate Crime legislation be introduced, and that we start educating the public by insisting every time a crime story of a criminal action on t.v, we note there status. In other words, we would note that there "non-mentally ill" so people would see that it is THEM not US that are commiting the crimes.
