I did. I liked how he uses emotion, hatred and passion to make people listen to the point. Sometimes, jsut sometimes, we dont mean everything we say. We say crazy things to make sure that people are listening to the thigns we DO mean.

So your defense of Michael Savage is...he doesn't really mean it?

Neither did the people who followed Charles Manson.

No they do not.

There's a reason so many hospitals in states bordering Mexico are in such a bad financial mess. And that reason starts with 'illegal' and ends with 'immigrant'.

I live in a town with a lot of illegal immigrants, and yet we have great hospitals here. And besides, correlation doesn't prove causation.

Enforce the law, deport illegals. Living + working in USA is not an automatic right for everyone who manages to cross the border.

Not enforcing immigration law = treason. Your town's law 'enforcement' folks have a lot to explain.

Thing is, the crazy things only serve to hurt the "real" message, since the crazy stuff is going to alienate people and cause them to mss the "real" message.

Treason? Well, that's a new one, at least.

It's possible the law enforcement in his/her town is busy doing something fairly important, like catching rapists and investigating murders.

Glenn Beck is the same way. He puts on a good show. The show is what people watch. He then slips in his message while you are busy being entertained.

Why do we watch NASCAR?

All due respect, the good Rev. King would like to disagree.

So would Gandhi. So would Susan B. Anthony. So would the Beatles.

If no one's listening, you just might not be worth listening to.

I don't take those people seriously either. You can get people to hear you by shocking them, but they're probably not going to listen to you. Hearing and listening are related, but quite different.

Also, I know basically nothing about the man. Doesn't sound terribly pleasant.

I'm glad he isn't welcome here in England. From all I've heard of him, he's pretty hateful, and the home office is well within their rights to exclude him from entry. After all, entering the country isn't a right

I'm sure Rydan is utterly shaken in her shoes. Some radio jackass said he'll sue people. Oh no! Whatever shall we do? It would be horrible if someone said something like...

Michael Savage is a paedophile

That would be horrible, wouldn't it? But I don't know, maybe it's not explicit enough. Maybe....

Michael Savage rapes babies.

That would REALLY get someone in trouble wouldn't it? Oh, I don't know...it's still kind of vague. How about...

Michael Savage rapes babies. No really, he does. Radio personality Michael Savage has been known, on more than one occassion, to brutally and violently rape young children in the back of a van. He kidnaps them from the street, drives to a secret location, and rapes them.

Oh no, I hope Michael Savage doesn't get me in trouble!
