There you go.

See you should've said that in the first place, I think that's a stupid idea anyway not all mental illnesses are going to cause people to want to kill others. And it's fairly typical belittling of a large section of the population and just perpetuates a stigma with these people as though they should be shunned from society and are a threat to it.

Yes, because the one federal agency that's supposed to regulate firearms does not belong in a discussion about a mass shooting and gun control.

Yes, because said federal agency was being used by the DOJ and possibly the Obama Administration to allow illegal straw buyers get away with firearms going to Cartels. Who exactly got the blame?

And no, the Bush Administration's variant ended before Obama took office, Fast and Furious started in October of 2009...

Because the media, except for Fox News and a few other outlets, has an unequivocally anti-gun slant. This deludes people into thinking that you can't step outside in America without having an AR-15 rammed down your throat. The bottom line is that people will always be dangerous and, of course, we have cultural problems to tackle. The media and government are looking for a scapegoat.

Usually only mass shootings, familcide, and infanticide are mentioned in the Corporate news these days. It's sad.

People murdering others are 'evil', not the guns. If someone kills someone else with a hammer, is the hammer instantly evil?

Applying labels like "evil" muddies the water. People kill other people, absolutely, and guns make it so much easier. With a hammer, you have to get up close and personal, but a gun lets you stand off a way and still kill. And with so much less effort. Modern conveniences are wonderful, aren't they?

Guns are simply tools. It's the person who uses that tool who is evil or good.

Guns are tools intended for killing people. A hammer has a productive purpose. Guns are destructive by nature; what has a gun "created"?
