I was told when I was young that I would be disowned if I ever came out as gay. When I came out it very nearly came true and years later I have not repaired familial relationships. I have been threatened with corrective rape before. One in four youth who come out will become homeless. Many people are killed or imprisoned worldwide for being gay. Please enlighten me as to why we would make this delightful choice.
