Ehhhhh the AK isn't strictly necessary. It was a gift from my father at least a decade ago, and it harkens back to his upbringing in Rhodesia more than any practical considerations. I keep it around because it was a gift.

And for the zombie uprising/post-apocalyptic wasteland. Or just in case I ever get bored as an old crotchety man, to make sure the kids damn well stay off my lawn.

Where I differ, besides hating labor (as a profession, not laborers); is that I'm an advocate of civil liberties to the extreme, I just hate idiots taking charge of their nation. :P
