Human Rights Survey!

Postby Computer Land » Tue Jan 15, 2013 6:43 pm

Hello; I'm working on a final for my Sociology class, and I was required to gather my own data. This mean creating a survey to gather the opinions of others. It would be amazing if you took a few moments to help me and completed this short survey --- it would help me get my grade.

The Survey, as you've probably guessed from the title, is on Human Rights in Society! :)

Mod edit: Please do your homework somewhere else.

NS is not here to do your homework. It's in the rules.
(According to NS Tracker)
Total: 5,931,200
Army: 3,855,280 personnel, 302 divisions
Navy: 593,120 personnel, 47 divisions
Air Force: 1,482,800 personnel, 116 divisions

IC Politics: Dictatorial Theocracy, but in favor of LGBTQ rights
OOC: Nation does not represent views on nearly all points

Warning: Your results are about to be swamped by commies, neo-fascists, and hard-right libertarians.

If your population is "regular people", NSG doesn't constitute a random sample, or are you using stratified sampling?
  • No, I'm not Korean. I'm British and as white as the Queen's buttocks.
  • Bio: I'm a PhD student in Statistics. Interested in all sorts of things. Currently getting into statistical signal processing for brain imaging. Currently co-authoring a paper on labour market dynamics, hopefully branching off into a test of the Markov property for labour market transition rates.

This survey is simply gathering data, much like a poll. If this conflicts with your personal values you need not offer your answers :) .

In addition, I would like the opinions of anyone and everyone to be included.

 Please don't tell me this is university-level... choosing your sample like this is abysmally poor practice.

I've seen people recruit their samples off their FB friends list for class projects.

Recruiting a good pseudo-random sample takes time and money, a bit more than you can expect someone to spend on homework. :p

Admittedly, but you could at least choose a forum which wasn't explicitly political. Go to a forum about gardening, or movies, or food.
