In all seriousness, I'm an atheist.

I however, don't understand the reason to be an anti theist. If one wishes to restrict their knowledge of the universe to "god did it", then by all means, let them. If you want the comfort of life after death over the uncertainty of an eternity, again, by all means. It does not affect me.

I am, however, against those who force religions on others.

Why isn't there a "deist" option in the poll? I mean, I'm not one, but still. There should be that option for the sake of completionism.

Ah, but what if, by some impossible odds, there is a higher power?

According to you or I, there is not. But everyone believes differently.

Besides, without things like the bible, one can argue that humans wouldn't have much reason to be as pleasant or civilized as you or I. Granted, it's brought upon many things I disagree with (I.E., pro-lifers, Homophobes, etc.) it still did the world a benefit. Some people take joy in faith. Why take that away for as selfish a reason as "I don't like it"? Doesn't that make us the same as them, condemning what they believe?

Yeah no, inequality, violence, abuse and discrimination predate religion entirely.
Religion just didnt help matters much.

Further I'd like to say I'm a Methodist Christian and pro-choice, in favor of federally recognized same-sex marriage, and dont quite see what my religious beliefs have to do with men and women being equal.

Are you saying women in say, Pre-missionary China, were given more rights and respect?

Note I am not implying the advent of western missions in China improved anything whatsoever

I specified the Abrahamic religions because those have had the most influence on modern society, and I recalled north american religions, where women are in some cases the leaders or hold more power than the leaders, as shamans and such.

Yeah, Falangism is para-fascist or quasi-fascist. My personal ideology is in the same boat (quasi-fascist). :p

Yeah, I tell people I'm Fascist for the sake of convenience, but really, Falangism is to Fascism as National Socialism is to Fascism — they're just on other sides.

My conservatism and capitalism disqualifies me as a traditional, Italian Fascist.
