Canada was doomed when Ottawa got to the second round. Also, does anyone else notice a classic second round choke via CHI?

If only Alfie was with Pittsburgh

Not all franchise players win Stanley Cup, you know.

If Alfie retires this off-season, I could probably see:
1) Either Spezza or Karlsson named as the next Captain of the Sens
2) His number retired(First-ever for a player of new Sens) in Scotiabank Centre

Penguins are on a roll. Spezza's his successor for now. Andy should be traded.

I would rather see Alfie retire.
For next captain issue, I have to agree with Spezza. He's probably the next captain for Sens and about 5-6 seasons after(I expect Karlsson to stay for that long in Nation's Capital) Karlsson.

One way or another, Sens have done some great jobs in the end. They, with all the injuries to many key players, managed to stay alive and make into the playoffs in 7th seed and beat Montreal Canadiens.

If he doesnt retire now, hes going to spiral downwards and end up playing in the 4th line, or even worse, the AHL!
Sens have a bright future, with Pageau and others, just gotta get the D situation worked out :/

4-2 Chicago in Game 6... might we be heading back to the Windy City for a Game 7?

and the Sharks forced a game 7 :)

Brodeur and Bobrovsky are the finalists for the NHL 14 cover, which means that Marty may finally get his long overdue video game cover. This is also the first time a goalie will be on the cover since 1997.

Go Marty Go!

I think 2013-14 is Marty's last season. Unless he's really a robot.

My, Chicago has been unimpressive. It will be disappointing to see this erratic uninspired group go for another Cup. Poor representatives of the sport.

An unimpressive team that started out in the 7th spot and is going to game 7 against the President's trophy winner. That and they beat the Ducks already.

A 7th spot which they legitimately earned through unmitigated lethargic play.

To be fair, the Blackhawks had to overcome the Red Wings on home ice. Y'know, where the refs subtly favor the wings lest they endure the wrath of drunken Detroit residents with nothing better to do than riot.
