I just about cried during last night's Blackhawks' game. Perhaps I've grown too accustomed to us playing like garbage, but still winning. As opposed to my baseball team of preference: the Cubs play like garbage, but still lose. I need the Blackhawks to pull through for me so I don't lose faith in all Chicago sports!

This Devils/Rangers game is complete bs. The referees ought to be looked into, this is really getting awful.

Now I am not one of those who blames their team's losses on bad calls (so let me point out right now that they are down 3-0 because THEY CANNOT SCORE AT ALL) but there are a suspicious amount of bad calls in this one, coincidentally all in favor of the Rangers. A clear trip on Kovalchuk went "unnoticed." Not only that, but they gave D'Agostini a double minor roughing call for retaliating when the Rangers received no penalty whatsoever? And the icing on the cake: the Rangers had too many players on the ice - A SIX ON FIVE - and despite DeBoer's frantic yelling at the refs, NOTHING AT ALL WAS DONE. Pathetic, I'm mad if you couldn't tell.

I have already accepted the fact that the Devils will not make the playoffs but this is just rubbing it in; it's giving the Rangers fans something to be smug about when in reality they haven't had so stellar a season at all.
