Certainly, but there are degrees of cheap shots. The sad part, is that Chicago didn't even need the cheap shots to win, we sucked. Still, I'd like to see Shaw take a cheap shot on Chara![]()
Nope. Hockey's hockey though, and if you don't need cheap shots to win, why embarrass yourselves?
Can it get more awesome? Only if it's a slugfest all the way to game 7.

Yeah, it can. Just because certain teams were created before the 1950s, doesn't mean that they're "oh, so totally awesome" now. Case in point: Toronto Maple Leafs.

Don't be so quick to hate on the Leafs, they put up a better fight than the Rangers AND the Pens. That team was deceptively good this year.

Only because they didn't have Cindy Crossby and Eugenia Malkin![]()
On a more serious note, I don't think that teams get special privileges just because they're in the Original Six. All O6 gives you is a dependable fanbase.

The Carolina Hurricanes made a big deal promoting their new look, which really isn't that different at all. The uniform isn't different enough for me to really care one way or another, but I think the new ones look like what may come of a Blackhawks/Devils/Red Wings three-way.
Secondly, the Dallas Stars. I actually really like this change. Their shift to all green is a good one I think, it really makes them stand out; no other team in the league is wearing green in that capacity. I am neutral on the new logo but I think it looks nice on the jersey.

Not all teams are blessed with getting it right the first time around like the BlackhawksWelsh Cowboy wrote:Lesbia wrote:Two new uniform announcements so far.

I think one thing the Stars could have done is used the Texas-shaped logo with a "D" on top on the side of the jersey. Instead they used a pretty bland circular logo.
However, I think it's a sharp new scheme and uniform.

But back on point, at least the Stars are doing something different. The 'Canes look like almost every other team in the league with red and white coloration... hell change the logo and it could be a Red Wings update really. Or a Senators update. Or a Coyotes update... we get the idea don't we folks?

Considering how insane AHL hockey can be, that's not necessarily a bad thing.Eliasonia wrote:Northern Dominus wrote:Not all teams are blessed with getting it right the first time around like the Blackhawks

The Stars new jersey's look like they belong on an AHL team to me. Not a fan.
Carolina's look too similar to the old ones for me to care.

Boston 2
Is my prediction.
