Well, I just got a hold of a camera to take a pic, so here's my "arsenal" (so far :D ).

Image

From the top:

Remington 870 Wingmaster (currently with a sling, +2 mag tube extender, and 18.5" barrel)
Ruger 10/22 (with sling, Nodak Spud front and rear sights, and Volquartsen hammer, hammer bushings, and auto bolt release)
Rock River Arms LAR-15 (with sling, YHM free float tube, Magpul MBUS rear sight, Magpul MOE trigger guard, and Geissele SSA trigger)
Ruger Mark 2 22/45 (with B-Square no drill mount, Tru-Glo 2x42 red dot, and Volquartsen accurizing kit, extractor, disconnector, and spring kit)
Glock 17C (with LWD 3.5# connector and Ultimate trigger stop)
Gun control is like trying to solve drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to own cars.

Any accident you can walk away from is one I can laugh at.

That Wingmaster looks like it's been places. What's the story on that one?

In The Transatlantic Union all weapons are outlawed. Legisate number 6159 of Code 11 of the personal weaponry code says and quote "It is henceforth illegal to keep, own, borrow, carry, produce, sell or by any other means come into contact with any object which may be used to inflict injury upon anothers being"

Code 1473 of the same legislate also explictly bans the viewing of such objects for entertainment or education purposes.

It was a Fudd gun that I picked up at Cabelas, painted in a crappy Woodland pattern. They did a terrible job of painting it too (only the exposed part of the bolt was painted, paint inside the chamber, trigger group, paint flaking off the wood, etc). Apparently it was painted because the finish was terrible, because when I stripped the paint off, there was little bluing underneath. I'm thinking of sending it to Remington to have them install the magnum ejector, because part of the process is refinishing the receiver (killing 2 stones with one bird, since the 18.5" barrel is chambered for up to 3" magnum shells).

High-temperature engine block paint also works relatively well. Gives you a finish that matches the color and appearance of the SGL series of rifle (top three):

Just for you:

Image

~$1,200.00 pre-panic. Has a 16" barrel to make it a rifle and a filled display barrel of proper Uzi length. Not mine; shop gun. Figured you might be interested in the photo, though. I went through my camera, and I have no photos of the ATI/GSG StG-44 "Schmeisser" .22LR clones we have, but I do also have photos of this (I think it's what you were referring to?) that someone let me borrow: http://jakesgunreviews.weebly.com/mp5-22lr.html

Any reason why you're wanting a piston-driven AR-15?

Makes the weapon more reliable IMO. I was part of a test group of marines that tested out the M27(Hk416). I find that a gas pusher system makes the rifle need less maintaince andnoess chance of malfuction due to carbon build up. Shit I'd love an Hk416 too.

You could always just get a Colt-made AR-15, install a Fail-Zero FA bolt-carrier group, lubricate it lightly, yet properly (rear of firing pin channel in bolt, left-hand side of bolt carrier (VERY lightly; Mobil 1 synthetic works great here), ports of bolt carrier "indent" that open dust cover, dust cover "bump", buffer spring (light coat of Mobil 1 again)), make sure it has a mid-length gas system (if barrel length is ~16.0"), and call it a day. I know of several people who have gone thousands of rounds with no cleaning using this set-up, lubricating the bolt carrier ports periodically without disassembling the rifle.

A piston assembly like the '416 (short-stroke) is nice, and does help with keeping excess carbon out of the receiver, but it is largely unneeded when one takes a look at modern AR-15 DGI components. That said, the MR-556 (semi-auto, civvie. M416) ran about $2,800.00 pre-panic. Colt LE6920s are around $1,800.00 mid-panic, ~$1,100.00 pre-.

Hmm. I like that. Thaks for the tip.

When I tested the m27 I shot 22 mags at the cyclic rate with zero malfunctions. After that we ran drill with it for the rest of the day. I had to have put at least 2,000 rounds( minimum) through it. At the armory it only took about half an hour to get it inspection ready.....unlike the m16/4.

Thanks again I will bare( or bear?) That in mind.

Gun porn

Only one of those four left-handers is mine (hint: One of these guns is not like the others.) the others are the brothers. Rest of its in my 'personal' collection (which very regularly gets dragged out by family and friends when THEY need a hunting rifle. Durn moochers).

Not pictured is a Ruger 10/22, an SKS that has been sitting in a case at the far back of my gun safe since I bought it, and my fun-guns (a pair of Colt AR-15s. One pre-ban I inherited from the father, and one post-ban I bought for my own enjoyment.)

Also the Lorkin in the bottom right is busted, so it might not belong there.

Who would have guessed?! :lol2:

Great variety overall, though: I'm not good with old .22LR pumps, so I can't tell if that's a Colt Lightening or a Remington of some kind... or a Winchester..?

I know, a Lorkin, broken! It boggles the mind. Normally they're such rugged, dependab-- Yeah, I couldn't say THAT with a straight face.

And I might actually have to tear it out of the safe the next time I'm at the house, It LOOKS real similar to a Win. 62 but it's some off the wall company if memory serves. I want to say "Minneapolis Millworks" or "Minnesota Minting" or something oddball like that, but neither of those is it. Maybe I'm just going crazy and it IS a Win. 62.

Being a college student, I don't have enough money to afford a firearm, or even the ammo required to actually use one, but my parents purchased for me a .40cal STI 1911 model (not sure which model, though it looks like their Sentinel) which was "modestly reworked" with an aftermarket sight and grip, and an added mag well.

Makes IPSC-type drills a little more fun than the bone stock Glock 19 I would shoot all the time. :P
