And after reading somebody's post on here about how since most of China's income comes from the US, they wouldn't dare attack us, even my paranoia about China has subsided.

The research certainly helped remove any misconceptions I had about such weapons. Of course this means any Hollywood film involving these weapons will no longer be seen the same. I can barely watch a movie involving military hardware, tactics/strategies and weapons without criticizing all the inaccuracies.

This proves my post....

It has opened my eyes!

NSG hasn't helped me, other than to further fuel my misanthropy. Although that said, occasionally I will come across a well-reasoned post (I tend to read debates more often than I participate in them) and I certainly find it interesting to hear both sides of an argument without getting myself too involved one way or another.

NS on the whole has been more positive than negative - I have met a number of people here who I could consider friends, mainly RPing buddies.

And the other thing it's been good for - and the main reason I spend/t so much time on it in the beginning - was because it was a fun distraction while I was ill and unable to do much else.

I would say that NS has definitely made me more educated on a lot of different topics. It's also helped me to get better at debating and ,best of all, it introduced me to Paradox games!

Well, other than being a great game, so far NS has no significant effect on my life (no offense).

If I'm not wrong, Max once said that two people (man and woman) met through NS (they were both players here) and then got married.

I've met a bunch of crazies who I'd won't exchange for a kings ransom. (Emperor's ransom maybe)
Also I've been introduced to new art and I've expanded my views (I guess).

Though I'm pretty sure that in addition to NSG, reading /pol/ has shifted me quite a bit to the right as well.
