And to think, how bad would it get if Scotland became independent.

Wow, I was imagining peer pressure, instead you've provided me with what seems to make marvel villainly look sensible. I guess I should have expected that from people who tackle flaming terrorists.

Its all because we created the a few bits of new year celebrations, like "Auld Lang Syne", it is a compulsory night of tartan, bagpipes, and crap.

God i would hate to see the Salmond regime of the "super-scot" be put in place if independence happens

Auld Lang Syne is bad enough by itself.

Yes but scottish culture is so bleak. Kilts, Haggis, Bagpipes, putting more "Uch!" into words, ginger hair, etc.

You had viking parts in the west and north... and a strong drinking reputation (though I don't know how deserved it is?)... and your accent is fun to badly imitate.. okay thats all accents really. Bagpipes ain't so bad though I wouldn't go as far as to call them instruments, kilts are getting increasingly trendy and haggis seems eatable. You also gave the world Jack Churchill and Scotch Whisky.

I dislike sports, and as far as Football goes I'd prefer association. I don't like the hot climate (and despise the summer) or outdoor activities. I also dislike vegemite and don't exagerate our limited military history. This puts me at odds with a lot of australians.

I actually like the hot climate, and despise winters more than summers, vegemite is a marvellous invention that is not only tasty, but provides a good drop bear repellant, I generally like watching sports, though not necessarily play it, and despise association football for all kinds of reasons ranging from a corrupt FIFA to whiney players who seem to act more like hollywood celebrities than people who are kicking a ball around. Association Football makes me want to regurgitate, especially when I have to play it for PE with my overly competitive classmates who think I am a sissy for not being good at it. I like watching Australian Rules Football, even if I don't understand it, it looks a lot awesomer than a whole bunch of people throwing themselves to the ground and putting up worse acting skills than softcore porno movies whenever somebody lightly taps them on the shoulder. I also deeply respect the military, but don't wish to inflate them to a deital status.

Then for the Dutch. I can't speak or even hear the language without feeling nauseated. It is discouraging enough that I feel homesick when I clearly should feel I am already at home, like any "normal" Dutchman ought to. I can't feel proud about our culture. 90% of our music industry consists of overemotional lovelife songs with a complete lack of creativity. Musicians like Frans Bauer, or Jan Smit make me want to rip off my ears. They are a people who despise any form of individualism, and want to achieve a most boring as possible outward appearance. The fact that the Dutch proverb "Just behave normally, then you're crazy enough" even exists makes me ashamed to carry this nationality, even.

There are only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other peoples' cultures, and the Dutch.

Over here people go on about how the Darwin bombing was either devastating or did nothing, how Japan was totally a horde coming to steal our land, how our troops are the best trained in the world and how our SAS are better then the brits, and how they're the best special forces in the world and, how our military is big for our population (It kind of is idk, its what, 40,000 or 60,000 personel for a 22 million pop country? Actually that sounds bad) and so on. They'll glance over how badly beat we were in Gallipoli (though that wasn't really our fault) and how we lost Torbruk (once again, if attention is drawn to it they'll blame it on the british leadership).
