Following a certain trend or style of clothing does not make you a slave to popular opinion. Those things are popular for a reason! If you don't like them, don't wear them, but that doesn't mean you're better than everyone else.

Me? I have a taste for fashion from the 40's and the 50's. Does that make me a slave? No! I think clothing from that era looks really cool, and that's why I try to wear clothes to emulate that look. It's not because I'm a slave to some guys from the 50's, it's because I happened to like their style and thought it would look good on me.

Depends on the definition of "fashion".

If you mean the industry of designing ludicrously-expensive and impractical clothes for filthy-rich folks who shit gold to wear in order to attract attention and compensate for their inferiority complexes, then my attitude is absolutely negative.

If you mean the industry of designing practical and comfortable clothes that also look good for the average folk, then yes, it's a necessary thing. Fashion of this type, like any art form, can also be very inspiring to the masses...

The more I think about it, the more I realize that good fashion has to do with how good your ass looks in the clothes. The better the ass, the better the fashion. I'd graph it for a visual, but i'm too lazy.
