As for military size, that means little. Brazil has something like 350,000 odd troops, yet they are hardly a major military power.

Do I have to get into a deep debate on this issue? I was hoping tomake a few points and leave *sigh*.

And I'm a New Zealander, my knowledge on British political history is a little fuzzy. Now, if you ask me about Alexander the Great on the other hand.....

And, I believe the answer is no, but its always nice to have some insurance, in case it might happen, especially since the monarchy seems to turn a profit. Otherwise, why would people bother with something like Home and Contents insurance, because whatst he chance of them in particular being robbed?

That there is nothing overly unique in London's position as a financial center. Nor will it remain one of the bigger center's, if South Africa and Brazil get their act together and train some hedge fund managers.

It is, your nationality and your citizenship is decided by the country that you reside.

It is none of my business if you like to wear girl's clothing and call yourself Peggy, if you are a man, you still are a man.

While I despise monarchy and any idea of "royalty" or the sense of entitlement given to the children of monarchs(much how I despise the children of the rich, but not neccesarily the rich themselves) the royal family should only be abolished if the majority of the British support doing so, which to my knowledge don't.
