In order to do this without totally sapping the credit supply, the FED must print new money out of thin air creating inflation. The skyrocketing cost of living will in the long-run defeat the purpose of any social spending or economic stimulus. And now with the incoming financial cliff there's talk of tax increases. This would be the last nail in the coffin of an already dying economy.
