Fascism vs Communism

Ok guys, I've been thinking this for a long time, and I wanna know your say.

In a world where the half of the planet are fascist and the other half is communist, which side would you prefer to live and why?

In my opinion, I would live in a fascist state in terms of living standards, because communist countries (based on what I observed, correct me if I'm wrong) failed in terms of living standards. I don't know, that's what I observe (although I must say, Soviet Union rocks). In terms of social status, I would prefer communism, because everyone is equal (except for party members). But I can't decide for sure where to live if that scenario happens.

But for me, both of them are horrible, I prefer a republic system. So what can you say?

Note: I know some of you reject both, but if in case it happened, what side do you prefer?, please don't answer "No side because both of it sucks", just try to answer it.

Communism, as in the pure end result were no state exists and everyone has equality and freedom, vs Fascism, where the state completely dictates restricts freedoms , while having a huge level of economic inequality because of the corporate state system which favors the big corporations?
