Indeed Arch. Thanks.

As to the rottenness comment? Well? He was a product of his era.

Do you think he would have had the same views if he was born today?

Would you have your views if you were born in his time?

Sin is a term that came from religion, but now applies to things outside religion. Also, overreaction much?

Not surprising, really. It's long been established that Nidaria is anti-Christian, pro-cancer, pro-death, and hates freedom and America.

I think it says a lot that the thread this is meant to be the counter for listed all the current sins of the Republican party. In order to come up with a similar list, YGO had to reach back 40 years. Interestingly enough, several of those "sins" are not disdained by the Democratic party and embraced by the Republican party.

I think the Democratic party needs to make very little argument other than simply point out the dates of their sins.

Democrats' worst sin is that their only recent merit is being a bit saner than the modern GOP.

Given the state of US politics, that's a pretty good merit.

you know, an honest list would probably have to get down to like the 30th worst sin before we got anywhere near the modern party.

I find it funny several of the sins listed aren't in any way the fault of the democrats. Nuclear weapons really?

It comes down to Jim Crow and an insistence on only tax hikes on the rich, when that's not the only revenue we could get to punch a hole in the deficit.

Well, FDR did order the Manhattan Project up, and the Germans didn't end up making nukes, and Truman continued the program- and both were Democrats...but without it we'd be even dirtier and nastier than before in power production!*
