People told me that I sound a bit British. In both my English and my Dutch(native tongue). Should I start pretending to be a foreigner in my own country in order to pull off the "cute foreign accent"?

When I drink with my wife and her girlfriend, we play poker and my wife goads me until I speak as I do when I call back home. This, apparently, causes my wife's girlfriend's panties to spontaneously melt off.

Yeah. I've never had it that bad. Some glaring issues so bad I can't talk about, but not that bad. The last girl I was "not in a relationship with" for about a year and a half somehow couldn't muster the courage to break it off. Annoying as hell, particularly considering how independent and empowered she was.
