America is a social issues battleground with a lot of debt. There is no issue in America that kills people unlike the rockets from Gaza. Most starving kids are in either Africa which is too big a problem to deal with or America which is a sign of America's decline.

People always talk about the Jews and the concentration camps and the genocide of them and all that; What i don't understand is all the attention to one that was a failure, there have been successful genocides oh those poor visigoths were the roman's killed or took the men into their Military and interagrated or enslaved the women.

Within a few generations an entre culture, a people were rubble. And we so rarely hear about it; A successful genocide campaign and yet the one that failed is constantly lamented. I understand that it was no doubt a stressful and draining event upon the people but it didn't arrive it's end did it?

1: The Holocaust is directly connected to WWII, the largest and bloodiest war in Human history. WWII is talked about frequently, as a result, things connected to WWII, including the Holocaust, are talked about frequently.
2: The Holocaust is a bit more recent than any action involving Visigoths. Little wonder people speak more about relatively recent events than events of centuries past.
3: The Holocaust continues to have ramifications on current real-world politics, especially around Israel. The Visigoths? Not so much.
4: Something tells me more than a few would not consider 6 million dead Jews entirely a 'failure'.

Yes, 5 million children die of starvation every year. So I think we can all agree (well, maybe we can't but we should) that throwing another 8 million bodies on the pile is something better off being prevented. Especially as I cannot help but imagine it will be a good deal easier to prevent than global starvation.
That it is not the most important does not mean it is not important.

Considering Israeli-American relations and, indeed, the significance of the Middle East in general and increasing trends of globalization I think it is safe to say that a Second Holocaust would have dramatic ramifications on America.
