If you like the way your government works, then you are living in the right place.
Right wing propaganda?
I didn't see anywhere on my tax statement where I could opt out of supporting well people that won't work
I don't "generalize" anything about poor people
even though I don't have a clue what ebul is.
Nothing wrong with being poor, and there is a difference in being poor and being professionally on the dole!
I can't speak for Canada, just for what I see in the projects and on the rez.
One is too many if you can't support it, so I don't think that's a legend.
It works out to be the same.
If you don't pay, they'll take everything you have and imprison you.
If you don't pay property taxes there, they'll take your property after you die if your heirs don't pay them. Here, they'll put you in the street after less than 3 years.
Thank you!
I do hold someone that tries to a different standard than someone that doesn't.
If you're able to work and are looking for it, then fine, I'm glad to help. If you're unable to work, fine, I'm glad to help. If you're just too sorry and expect to be carried you can kiss my red ass!
I don't and won't have empathy for ticks.
A tick is someone that can work, but won't and expects society to take care of them.
If you can't make it on one job, then get two. I have to. Are you somehow better, more deserving than I?

It is.
The role played by sportsmen helps drive a nation towards greatness by reminding them of the values of competitiveness and ambition. That's what human society is all about. Thus it's relevant because they deserve their high salaries.

Doctors and firemen stop people dying, that's more useful and greater than kicking a ball about and reminding people of competitive values, and therefore at the very least the income gap should be less.

Fine. I concede (on this one point about sports)

Of course you don't advocate having two jobs, you just want someone else to so they can give so you don't have to have one. Don't take that personally as the you is implied to a group. I don't know your reasons for not working, so I won't pretend to attach an opinion.Zaras wrote:Y'know, Bug, it'd be really easier to reply if your quotes weren't screwy. I told you I didn't know how. I highlighted it then hit the quote button at the top of the box. That's what I got.If you like the way your government works, then you are living in the right place.
Or if you like the way government works it's because of all the people who've fought to make it work better and for everyone. Geography hasn't that much to do with it. Sure it does as some are more socialist, some are communist, some totalitarian, ect. depending on what the people were used to. If they were used to being controlled, they will continue to fight for some form of controlled government.Right wing propaganda?
Yuppers.I didn't see anywhere on my tax statement where I could opt out of supporting well people that won't work
They're an insignificant minority. Maybe in Canada, not here.I don't "generalize" anything about poor people
Your posts say otherwise.even though I don't have a clue what ebul is.
A misspelling of evil. You should know this if you've been on the Internets. I don't spend a lot of time on chat. I don't type well or fast. Uncle Arthur moved into my fingers and made it worse.Nothing wrong with being poor, and there is a difference in being poor and being professionally on the dole!
Namely, that the latter is illegal and it's already being treated as a crime by the government, so I don't see your point. Maybe where you are. You keep telling me not to use local truths to reflect national. You must be using Canada to quote for US. It's illegal here too, but I've never heard of it being enforced, and I would have heard!I can't speak for Canada, just for what I see in the projects and on the rez.
Maybe don't generalise the projects and reservations to an entire country then? Generalisations born of ignorance are the worst. This is where the most poor are! There are other places, but not with the numbers that are anywhere near these. One is too many if you can't support it, so I don't think that's a legend.
I assumed you were talking about people who supposedly had too many kids to get more welfare or some shit.
Yeah, one is too much if you can't support it, but you have to look at the loathsome residue of fundamentalism and attacks on birth control and attempts to improve sexual education in the USA to get the answer to that. Neither one has any effect on poor having children they can afford. They all go to the health dept where birth control of all types are and have been free and almost without questions for 40 years. There are pamphlets, posters, damn near directions everywhere, but they don't care.It works out to be the same.
You don't have a clue how it works if you think that.If you don't pay, they'll take everything you have and imprison you.
And? If you're comparing this to a criminal operation, you're ludicrous. Taxes are a part of the social contract. You break the social contract, you're being punished for it.If you don't pay property taxes there, they'll take your property after you die if your heirs don't pay them. Here, they'll put you in the street after less than 3 years.
How the hell does this have to do with anything, and do you even know how property taxes work in the UK? I spent some time there and in the rest of Europe. Unless everyone I spoke to lied, yeah. Of course I have had a stroke since then. some things in the past are scrambled sometimes.Thank you!
Not a compliment, genius. Neither was that.I do hold someone that tries to a different standard than someone that doesn't.
>implying people who are unemployed don't try See next line.
What a sick and immoral way of looking at one's fellow humans. Pretending they're all lazy failures. Not pretending a thing. Either you are independently wealthy, work, are only temporarily unemployed as you try and find another job, are temporarily hurt and can't work, old, or disabled. Can you think of another reason to be on the dole other than lazy?If you're able to work and are looking for it, then fine, I'm glad to help. If you're unable to work, fine, I'm glad to help. If you're just too sorry and expect to be carried you can kiss my red ass!
Quit randwanking, it makes you look sillier than you already do. Silly? In your eyes? That's a compliment.I don't and won't have empathy for ticks.
>comparing humans to parasites No not comparing, some are parasites.
Yeah, you definitely don't have any empathy. Grow one already, goddamnit.A tick is someone that can work, but won't and expects society to take care of them.
Translated into English: something that exists in the fevered imagination of deluded righties. You are so full of shit! You have no idea just like most lefties. I can take you and sit you in the living room of hundreds within 25 miles of me.If you can't make it on one job, then get two. I have to. Are you somehow better, more deserving than I?
I'm not as callous or sociopathic, so yes, I am better than you. I don't have sick beliefs that can be summed up with the chorus of the Dead Kennedys' "Kill the Poor". You seem not to be able to be callous as you seem to be reliant on a teet of someone or something to keep you, at least at the moment. You did say you had no income, correct? I don't advocate killing anyone.
And I'm not blind enough to reality to advocate two jobs as a solution to anything. That's a refusal to notice the cause for the symptoms right there.

It's a game, and like any other game from Monopoly to Chutes and Ladders it's a good fun distraction.
But that shouldn't mean that the players get millions in contracts or be regarded as heroes.
Firefighters are heroes, doctors are heroes, soldiers are heroes.
Derek Jeter is NOT a hero. Neither is Ron Artest or Kobe Bryant.

You feel entitled to a good life because you exist.
