No thanks.

Jesus never said that.

That's our point.
If you say
"Stalin was an atheist, and killed loads of people. Therefore, atheism kills more people than religion has." that's completely untrue, because if you use the SAME CRITERIA, lots of people were religious and killed people, 809 million people to be exact.

BUT
If you say
"Stalin didn't kill anyone because of his atheism, he killed them for other reasons. However, religious people have killed because of their religion." thats true too.
By both sets of criteria, the religious have killed more people.
I say the second should be used.
They insist on the first one for Atheism, but the second one for religion.

How is it that most atheist leaders are the ones that kill thousands or millions of their people?

That's simply not true either. There are plenty of Atheist world leaders. It's nowhere near a "most" that kill their own people.

So, we'll remove "most" and replace with "some." and then remove "atheist" and place in "religious" and now you see why your question is so stupid. You completely ignored my post and just came up with another reason why you should read my post.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

You do realise there are plenty more that never did right?
And most that did kill en mass come from either major faith based ideologies (Mao being an interesting example of this), were psychopaths despite their religion (e.g. Stalin) or (going back to Stalin again) were brought up with religious values and submission to higher authority as a good thing.

Contrary to the propaganda, we live in probably the least materialistic culture in history. If we cared about the things of the world, we would treat them quite differently.
