That's the sad thing about living in America. Back home in the UK the Indian was much much better than over here.

There was a page or two of Abatael defending Christmas-krieg, and one Serbian git saying that in the early Otts there was an assault with machineguns, but yeah. Basically.

Man, that's brutal. I end up speaking more Spanish than Mandarin at my local Chinese restaurant.

That's madness. Where I'm from, Mexicans run Mexican restaurants, Chinese people run Chinese restaurants, etc.

Which I thought was the norm until I traveled and went into a Chinese restaurant and there were a bunch of white guys working there...I had that uncomfortable moment with my world view while I was going, "What the fuck is with all these crackers?" In the last place I lived I got these awesome chimichangas by a little Mexican woman who called everyone "Guapo", which as a fan of The Three Amigos delighted me to no end. Plus, chimichangas. They're like burritos with superpowers. Yay living in culturally diverse areas with lots of immigration. Delicious and varied food.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

still does, but like little italy its a little touristy, the neighborhoods where the folks live have the better food and are much cheaper. though the italian restaurants in little italy are really good, and chinatown you can find dives that are spectacular.

The only location nearby where the "Authentic" label shines is a German restaurant. It's run by a family from Straussberg, and they make beer sausage that cannot be beat.
