My longest? Hm... it was in my final year in high school, lasted for 3 weeks, it was nothing special really. It was mutual breakup in the end.

Now that I think of it, I am finding myself attracted to a woman in my College lately. I don't know, I'll give it some thought.

Longest relationship isn't really applicable for me, as even if you did count the awesome friendship as a full out relationship, it's my first, and it has not ended.

I guess my main tip for showing her that you care would be trying to figure out her love language and then going from there. Ever heard of the five love languages? These are what I'm referring to. If you don't know what I'm talking about, they're love languages (words of affirmation, receiving gifts, quality time, physical touch, and acts of service) that everyone kinda has built in, and if you "speak" to them in their main love language(s), it will display your great love for her.

Anyway, http://www.5lovelanguages.com/ you can learn a bit more about them, and take a quiz thingy for both yours and someone else's love language. Hope that helps!

What you need isn't dominance, it's confidence. It's not a contest of wills, it's a cooperation between partners.

It sounds trite, but communication and trust are pretty much the keys, in my experiences. And confidence. Not arrogance, not attempts to control, but respect yourself. As for showing her how you feel, even if stuff doesn't go the way you planned, making the effort is really important.

Also, remember, every woman is different, because, well, you know... people are different. That's why it's so hard to give general, sure-fire advice for relationships. What works with one partner might not work with another.

Eight years, this December, by the way.

Relationships are for functional people.

Plenty of relationships, all of them failures in one way or another. My last breakup left me so bitter than I haven't dared to enter another relationship since. Passing one chance after another does kind of fill me with an ever increasing sense of regret, but on the plus side at least I'm safe in the knowledge that a relationship can't go wrong if I'm not in one.

Apart from the bitter regret thing, I'm quite content and happy on my own. I enjoy my own company. That's probably a bad thing, but If I can keep a slim grip on reality then it's not doing any harm, really.

My longest relationship was eight years, three of which we were married. Honestly, that was the one that taught me 'stability' was way overrated; we should have gone our separate ways long before, but fear of being alone kept that zombie marriage shambling along.

I don't know.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

I haven't been in one, I likely won't for quite a while, and I seem to have (again) developed a crush on this girl that's one of my best friends.

None.

I do have a crush on someone(and have had for a long time).

I my self feel unable to get into a (romantic) relationship. All the guys I met just don't seem to cut it(in comparison to him), and I just can't get my self to get into a relationship with a girl either because I am unable to get over him.

I haven't seen him in over 6 years, and I miss him terribly...

We talk regularly now. I didn't even think this would happen... she moved way away, and I figured, "Welp, we're probably going to be drifting apart." Nope. I didn't figure not talking to her after a week or two would make me miss her, but here we are. And it seems (from the face value of what she says) she misses me too.

But I've already gotten the "like a brother" thing. That's been there for a while now. There were even times where I didn't even want to be around her at all, that's how things got between us on my end.

And yet, here we go again.
