Ethiopia had artillery and firearms. Few if any other African nations did. Your belittling of the Ethiopian army is based on your views of them now. That is a mistake.

The most modern African army fought arguably the least modern and professional western European army at the time.

I know this, I was just saying that it wouldn't be hard for them to be the most advanced African state at the time because there weren't any others.

Inspiring to who?
Personally I'm a little jealous of Henri Bessemer, discoverer of the Bessemer process /bessemerisation, which gave the world cheap steel.
Asides from that, the Great October Socialist Revolution, Slovak National Uprising, and the launches of Sputnik, Lajka and Jurij Gagarin all count.
Kosovo is Serbia!

Gorbachev actually choosing to tear down the wall is far more inspiring than the leader of the Soviet Union's number one enemy and rival standing in front of a wall and saying "Tear this down!"

Your answer is shameless Reagan worship. Its sort of cute.

Right? All he did was stand there in front of cameras and say TEAR THIS DOWN!

Thats not brave. Thats not moving. Its not inspiring. He gave a speech. He used rhetoric. The Soviet leader actually chose to tear the wall down.

Gorbacov leading Russia into an age of poverty, crime and instability.

Technically the GDR did on its own, after the shit hit the fan in such spectacular fashion they had no choice.

Pretty easily the moon landing.

Hell, I personally like "Tranquility base here, the Eagle has landed." more than Armstrong's words but that's just me.
