And then it could probably actually class itself as being invaded.

Since, I don't think a region not claimed by any state can be invaded.

No. At that point, IIRC, Gaza was a part of (or at least administered by) Egypt, while the West Bank was a part of Jordan. Palestinian territory was invaded, but a Palestinian state was not, as one did not exist.

No, it's not "that easy". That's why Palestine isn't (and probably won't be) a state for a long time. You need very large amounts of international support to become an internationally recognized state. And then you need military power to enforce that claim.

Israel wasn't a country until 1948. If Palestine was a country it wouldn't have much to govern. A few chunks of West Bank and Gaza. Israel should totally withdraw from the West Bank. If they don't then Palestine will certainly never be a country.
