Where were you raised?
Delaware County... before it became the fastest growing county in Ohio.
And Columbus, OH is my definition of hell-on-Earth.
My old-old neighborhood in Columbus is now a project for Somali refugees that were just "plopped" down in Franklin CO.

Ethel: She is moving in with you, you will equip a throne room for her, and bring her rose petals everyday. You shall dress in a french maid's outfit, and only speak english with a bad french accent.

I bet you wouldn't consider it a "fuck you" if the thread was about states in another country.
How much? Also, I'm aware of the various uses of the word state. I said that when you think of the word 'State' in the geopolitical respect, you should think of the US pretty quickly, unless you live under a rock.
Nah.
How much?
Nah.

I've heard that, I've never been to Georgia though, or really anywhere in the deep south. What's wrong with California though? Out of all the places I've lived I find it to be the best by far.

If you'd care to read, I'm saying that the US is the most prominent country which people world wide are aware has states.
I did read. You made an assumption that the word "state" implies US. I pointed out that it does not, because states exist in other countries. Whether the US is more prominent than Australia et al is irrelevant. If people ask me which state I'm from, my response is to tell them, not to say "I'm not from the US".
If you want to be US-centric, that's fine. Just don't assume that everyone else has the same level of US-centricism.

Ah - so it's your reading comprehension that's extremely low? Okay.

Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".
Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

Ah, ad homs. I guess it's easier than admitting that you were wrong.Demirysis wrote:
When it says 'State', unless you live under a rock, you should probably know that it's meaning the US.
There is, simply put, no other interpretation of this using standard English, other than that the word "state" infers the meaning that the topic of discussion is the US, which is wrong. Very wrong.Demirysis wrote:The word 'state' should invoke thoughts of the US.
No, the word "state" should invoke thoughts of multiple cities and towns united under a government. Because, you know, that's what a state is.Demirysis wrote: It's the largest and most well known country for using states.

Welcome to the Internet, where if you make ridiculous comments you get called on it.
