Which state are you from?

I was born in Rome but I'm a resident of California...AKA the BEST state.

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California, USA, Earth, Sol, Local Cluster, Milky Way. Lived in the Sacramento area throughout my childhood. I then took a job up here in Truckee, California (30 minutes west of Reno and just north of Lake Tahoe), and have lived here in Truckee for a few months now.

I kid about the Georgia part (even though GA is pretty), but California is definitely not the best state.

I've heard that, I've never been to Georgia though, or really anywhere in the deep south. What's wrong with California though? Out of all the places I've lived I find it to be the best by far.

I am from an Air Force family and moved to a new place every 3 years. The most time spent in a state was Maryland, where my father retired (much to my dismay) and hated it enough to refuse to ever consider it home. I now live in New York, the state my parents are originally from. I actually chose Alaska because it is where I still have the most friends and it is the one I really like going back to when I can, so it is the closest thing I would call a "home" state.

That sounds about right; most of my folks come from Southern roots (if they don't come from Utah or Idaho like the vast majority of my dad's side of the family).

Don't forget the grits. Nothin' like grits with butter and salt as a healthy part of every balanced breakfast.
