Oh god, if I ever get into power, I will do my utmost to try and ban bagpipes from weddings. Seriously, even Muslim weddings have them, and a very significant minority at that.

Which is a good, but anecdotal, example of integration by Muslims into British culture (hence staying remotely on topic).

It's not like there has ever been a shortage of English nobles. The point here is that the UK has never been isolated to anything like the degree that you are claiming. Ever. At all.

Though the OP and organisations like the BNP apparently want the latter to actually happen...

Muslim weddings... with bagpipes...

Why the hell do I find that incredibly awesome?

Has anybody tried replacing the adhan with bagpipes as well?

Normandy may have been settled in by Vikings, but they adopted "French" culture when they got there.

ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

Mmm not so much weird but contrasting. i mean sorta tartan bland bagpipes against traditional Muslim colourful exhuberant decoration. 2 worlds colliding

Well, given that the weddings I'm talking about involve Muslims who immigrated from Pakistan/India or their kids, you'd expect dhol drummers to be the main introductory music, not bagpipes.

Just because I refer to myself as a terrorist quite often among my friends, with a common in joke being my varying plots of blowing my school or other things up.
