But a will exists, therefore the dead have some rights? Or are these just rights of the born living?

Not possible. You can't "marry" anything but a person. It's not on anybody's mind except crazy people who think there's some "sanctity of marriage" nonsense. It's a legal contract between two people, ergo only people can have it.

If it was up to me I wouldn't even bother with a statute of limitations over a next of kin's right regarding a body. I'd just say let them either sue for psychological trauma or financial loss (if they were using the bones to prop up a shelf for example).

However, when you ignore someone else's religious views even when they differ from your own, you should always have a good justification, or it's normal to feel a pang of guilt.

1. What psychological trauma? That of the dead person, who is DEAD and thus has no psyche to be traumatized? Or of the next of kin or similar family member, who's remains are A) not yet in existence (because they're still alive) and B) not being used for sexual acts?

2. Separation of church and state. It is a thing that was written into the Constitution because religious beliefs should have absolutely NO AFFECT WHATSOEVER upon the law. As such, respecting a persons religious beliefs doesn't play into it.

It's more of a guideline. You can sue for property not given to you in a will anyway. It's just a clarification of what you want to happen after your death, rather than a binding contract.

Only the living have rights. Wills relate to the living in that they allot property to the living that used to belong to the dead. Also, you write your will when you are still alive, and thus, in full possession of your rights.

Edit: Also, wills are not binding contracts; they are a clarification of what you want to ahppen after your death.

I can. So long as it is consensual, I don't particularly see any issue. If the animal isn't abused, there is no issue. I myself do not like it, and there is a certain 'ick' factor involved, but that shouldn't dictate the legality of a certain thing.

That being said, this doesn't really have anything to do with the topic.

Define approve.
Am I in love with/desire an animal or object? No.
Do I really care if other people are? No.
The question here really is: Is the willingness to completely ignore a behave equivalent to approving of it, in this context?
