Well, unless she owns the body, she should be charged for using someone else's property in 'questionable' acts; I suspect I would get told off if I started to use the next door neighbours garden gnomes for...nefarious purposes. However, I'd say that 2 years is a little harsh. A night in the cells to tell her off, and unofficially say, 'get your own skeleton', and maybe a small fine.
As long as people do this in a legal way (ie no corpse stealing), I have no particular problem with it.

It said the woman had handled the bones in a "shameful" and "unethical" manner.

"She is interested in the dead," Prosecutor Kristina Ehrenborg-Staffas told Reuters. "She has pictures of morgues, churches and graveyards.""

So she is being prosecuted for causing the state to go "Ewww"?

To me this is repugnant and distasteful but also a victimless crime. The skeleton doesn't care, I'm sure.

Why not just leave her alone? There are more important objectives for law enforcement.
