Look at it from the standpoint of a typical unattached young man, unsure about his social standing and ... prowess. He gets lucky, what... every month or so? Much better to brag to his buddies about that and say rude things about married men than to admit to them that this isn't the life he wants. (I'm not gonna confirm that I was that guy once, so let's just say I sympathize pretty strongly with the wanna-be young stallions. )

Could be. My only contention is the proclivity to believe such tales, you know. How can we form an informed opinion of something we haven't experienced? How do we really believed stories about, say, how bad sex is in marriage, if we don't have the facts?

Well, I can say that if these were my only to option, I would choose option 2. however, since I live in a reality outside of the hypothetical world, I would prefer to man-whore until im about age 30, then try and find a meaningful relationship with a girl. I would have one kid with her, but would try to keep us together without actually being married.
