I'm married and I can assure you that, at least in my case, this is not true. Married life doesn't mean that sexual desires and wants disappear.

So you deceive your wife into having sex with you?
Edit: Also, you say "they," how many wives do you have?
"They" has legitimate singular usage.Mikland wrote:
Thats the story I hear about marriage all the time. Usually, though, its the wife that rarely wants to have sex.
I'm fairly sure that's just an exaggeration of reality, much like Napoleon's lack of height (apparently, he was actually normally sized).

But come near the age of 40 when your looks begin to fade the girls will to. And when your dying in the hospital, unless you die from some STD, you will look around and see that no one is there, that no one cares. You'll have no kids around you to carry on your name and after you die. Kids will see your grave and say, "Who's that?" And not one person will know or care.
I've also seen what marriage becomes. I saw at the end of my grandmothers life, my grandfather, having been married to her for over 55 years, holding her hand every minute. I saw all her children and her grandchildren around her, caring for her. I saw her smile and my grandfather, who had been tough as nails until that moment. From the mouth of my Grandfather, "For over 55 years I was married to a woman I didn't deserve, and fostered 4 wonderful children. I lived the American Dream. And I wouldn't trade a second of it for anything. I lived a close to perfect life. And I thank God that I was blessed enough to do so."
Now I don't care if you believe in God or not, its not the point. The point is if you could choose, choose number 1. Because in the end, you won't regret it.

Precisely. I don't know why some people think that married couples don't have sex or not enough sex.
I think it's some combination of "man bites dog" and "sour grapes".
Look at it from the standpoint of a typical unattached young man, unsure about his social standing and ... prowess. He gets lucky, what... every month or so? Much better to brag to his buddies about that and say rude things about married men than to admit to them that this isn't the life he wants. (I'm not gonna confirm that I was that guy once, so let's just say I sympathize pretty strongly with the wanna-be young stallions. )

Well, I have seen some "playas," and can almost guarantee that girls dont care so much about looks, and more about charisma, but I get what you are saying. I still don't think marriage is for me though... And I have always longed for a life similar to option 2.

He didn't use it singularly. He used the plural "know." He didn't say, "They knows they should fuck you."
And, according to whom does "they" have a legitimate, singular usage?
That's actually the proper usage of the singular form of "they".

Well feel free to do what you want but in the end I know you'll regret it. I hear the same thing all the time, but right now they are happily married. Marriage and children isn't the end, and in most cases its the beginning of something better
