The deficit has not gone down year-by-year. When Bush left we stood at $10 trillion debt, and here we are at $16. Bush gave us $4 trillion is his 8 years, Obama has bestowed upon us $6 trillion in one term.

The deficit and the debt are not the same thing. The national debt is your total outstanding debt. The deficit is how much more you spent in a fiscal year, then you took in. That's why they are two different words.

For example, if your household budget says you need to spend $150, and your income is $100, you have a deficit of $50. If you've been that way all year, you have a household debt of $600 to deal with.

Yes, GW Bush was EVIL! He murdered thousands with his lies. He is partially responsible for thousands of deaths. Charles Manson is still in jail while Bush is relaxing at his ranch and how many did Manson help kill? Lying to go to Iraq is treason and Bush should get the death penalty (firing squad in my opinion). Also 9/11 was planned from Washington. There are videos about this. I'm torn between Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. Nixon broke the law and was a crook, but at least he got some work done. Jimmy Carter had a record of incompetence and failed leadership. But does it seem that way only because of things outside of any president's control? Maybe if he had been elected to a second term, the economy and foreign affairs would have improved anyway. Or maybe not.
