How are things escalating? Did the IDF enter Gaza yet?

They kinda aren't. A ceasefire was declared.
Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for 1 fall, and is a Dixieland match!

Well I was thinking of going to work on a kibbutz this summer if I can't get a gig in Africa or find somewhere here in the UK. If not this summer, then probably within the next five or so, before my current passport expires and I'm unable to go to some other countries I'd like to visit.

I'm not a big fan of the kibbutzim, but they are supposedly a great place for foreigners to learn about some of the older history of the region.

ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

I visited Syria back in 09 and then Iran a Year ago; I have returned to the Region for recreational Activities.

Never going back to Iraq though, Might return to Afganistan one day but not until it's a bit more stable.

I loved visiting Persia, that place reeks of History and soaked in all the Anicient sites and even visited a few old temples just like i did back in Turkey Antioch is a lovely place to visit if you like seeing classical persian Masonry.

That's my main reason for wanting to go to one. :P If there are other summer jobs in Israel for foreigners then I'd consider that as well. Would probably get more free time and money out of it.

Mhm, all places I'd love to visit. I'd like to visit Mecca one day, but considering there policy on non-Muslims.....perhaps I could be a Muslim for a week.

I kneeled before Mecca once in Prayer along with I don't know how many thousands.

I adopted Muslim tradition for the time spent in Iran just because it made transition easier, Interesting system of beliefs they have their although i did not take a picture of it due to Photography not really being encouraged but i did buy a small replica of the Tomb of the Prophet i put it up with My Grand Father's rifle, My marksmens patch and My bust of Cornelious Drebel.

I got a few more nicknacks from Iran but the good stuff? Got that in Syria you would not think but the place is lively with information, Old books espeically. I was able to secure a fairly well preserved but dated version of the Korran, the old testment and new testment. (I read the texts during long flights) I also got a love of Water pipe from Syria but that habit did not follow me home.

Man i could talk about my Month in Syria or the two weeks in Iran for a while though and i don't want to eat up anymore of the thread talking about my vacations of past.

Oh and if you were wondering when i visited saudi arabia it was a Long time ago in 2002

I figured that question might come up since i mentioned Mecca

i hope they don't end up going "no, you have only reduced rockets by 99% not 100%" if this actually goes along

Seems a ceasefire is imminent. I wonder how long it'll last. Probably until right after the election so it can be someone elses problem.

5-6 months?

Unlikely. Maybe if Hamas wants to really build up their stockpile to enormous levels, but I doubt they'll wait that long. Just lets us get more Iron Domes operational.

Good. Maybe it'll change your views.

It will probably make them STRONGER. Is it fair that there is only 1 entrance into the Dome on the Rock for Jews and non Muslims whereas there are 7 for Muslims? No. We need a stronger Israel.

i don't think a stronger israel would help you with that

"We"? I'm sorry, when did you become part of us? No, you're just like most foreigners. Not a single fucking clue as to how this region operates, both in terms of history and current events.

I expected better from NSG.
