For some reason, despite cultural differences between the east and the west, you don't see Californians like myself screaming for independence.

Nor do you really see the South doing so.

Independent Vegas I'm cool with because Vegas is supposed to be apolitical. It's a party place, not a politics place.

Independent Wall Street I'm a bit iffy about, if only because they'd end up exploiting New York and the rest of New England and turning in into an enslaved hell-hole.

Moralistic Democracy

Postby Kazarogkai » Tue Nov 13, 2012 11:45 pm

The united states is way too large and needs to be cut down in size, no true democracy should never be so large that the individual voting power of the individual citizen is virtually worthless. So as such I would suppport decreasing the size of the USA and creating more much more smaller countries(kinda like in Europe) that would be way more democratic. I very strongly support the disolation of the USA and would prefer it separated into maybe at least 100 or so different countries. It is immoral for people form a completely different place to tell someone what to do with the land they live in(rural vrs urban and all that). The largest country I would be okay with would be around the size of Kiribati(population wise), That would create a truly democratic country where the individual voting power of the individual citizen is quite high.

You're right about Vegas - The whole of Nevada has a ban on prostitution and going against the law, well, the sunset strip I hear is filled with strippers, hookers, and prostitutes.
Honestly, the whole of Nevada has got to get the fuck out of vegas.
I don't think it's fair that a bunch of bigoted republicans should get to tell people trying to have a good time where they can put their dick.

Wall Street - you're right.
Without taxes and minimum wage restrictions, the Wall Street tycoons will buy the whole of america for a dollar.
Though unlike you, because I think taxation and minimum wage restrictions are theft, I'm behind Wall Street doing whatever the fuck they like.

If push ever came to shove, I would have to side with the secessionists.
The Federal government has gotten bigger that it was meant to be and unelected beaurocrats are legislating unilaterally.
Both parties are to blame.

I am not a secessionist (yet, thing may change), but my mom who lived her first 30 years of her life in the north east is now apart of the Texas Nationalist movement(go figure  ), and it should be noted that we are from a long line of abolishonist republicans in PA, and after 4 years of living down here, we found out that contrary to stereotypes, the south is more assimilated and we have yet to come across a single racist KKK member. (We did run into one in PA, ironically) So drop the dixie malarky, that was over a hundred years ago.

I'm just being honest, but I would rather side with "dumb bigoted stupid rednecks" than, well, this guy: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=206342

A dystopia engulfed in eternal darkness, hidden away from the outside world. Yet, the Prophetess' beckonings bring many dissatisfied feminists from afar, to join her in the dark state of West Crotoa, in the secret vale deep in the Canadian wilderness. Many males go missing when their cars break down on the desolate highway in British Columbia.

I think it's something to do with a deal between Red Indians and Europeans made on their turf.
You could avoid some sorts of taxation and legal restrictions apparently so it was an ideal place to put a whole bunch of casinos.

There are loads of strange things like this that happen in america.
For example, I hear that D.C is a gated community of rich white people surrounded by black people living in slums.
U.S is basically thee place for a good laugh at the pathetic, the coincidental, and the inevitable.

Depends a great deal on where you are.

A better way to put it is that the cow counties tend to be conservative, Reno and Vegas, not so much.

The whole state however tends to be far more socially libertarian than anything else.
